Sweet 16 Birthday Set

I have been working on this set for the last couple of days for my neighbor's daughter who will be celebrating her 16th birthday on Saturday. I cut most of the pieces on my Cricut Expression. The rest of the supply brands are unknown to me though as I used everything from my 'stash'. Enjoy :)

Halloween crafting

So who is getting into the spirit of Halloween? I am more in the spirit of crafting for the season. LOL! I was dying to use some stamps I got from a swap last year that had never been used..so I finally got to do just that. This house was cut on my Cricut Expression using a cut file from the Paper Scrap Ink blog. She makes the best cutfiles for Design Studio and makes it so easy on us that aren't computer savvy.
The box is actually a tissue box cover and the tissues come out of the chimney! start to finish this project took me about an hour and a half..not too shabby for the end result. I am quite happy with it. :)

One Big Crazy Update!

so it seems I haven't updated my blog in like 8 months. Oh goodness! ok so here goes with the updates!
1) I am married! Married on April 18, 2009. I love being Mrs. Nichole Bryant!

2) I found out we are going to be expecting our first child on Jan. 22! I found this out On May 22 and it was quite a shock but we are so happy. Found out last Thursday that we are having a girl and her name will be Patience Grace Bryant.

3) I am taking a year off of college to prepare for Miss Patience. we figured that this was best in order to be up to par between school and family life since Patience would arrive during the school's Spring semester.

4) Crafting! Well there hasn't been much of that lately. I have just been in a major slump and can't seem to get motivated enough to do anything.

5) Did finish my first pregnancy scrapbook page today. I will post a pic at the end of this post.

6) Updating my etsy page. I am hoping to get some things on there soon. There is also a new 'Yardsale' section that will be like the name states.... a yardsale, just online. this could feature new and used items, whether scrapbook or not...just trying to clear out some things before Patience arrives!

anyways that was way off topic. I am here at college reading, reading, and reading some more. Already a ton of homework and only the 2nd day..and i have to stay on top of everything this semester! I got a letter in the mail saying that since my GPA was 2.8 last semester that I was on probation for this semester with my scholarships. This semester is a grace one so i have to bring it up or else i might not being going to college anymore because i cant afford to lose these scholarships!

Homemade cleaning products?

Ok, so I am in awe over the people of today making homemade cleaning products. I never thought of this and I think it is an amazing idea! One that stuck out to me is for laundry detergent. Making it at home can actually cut the cost of detergent from 30 cents a load to 1 cent...yes 1 single penny! Amazing right? So I htought I would share a recipe I found. One for liquid (gel-like) and one for poweder. Enjoy! and keep a look out for more that I find. ~Amazing~

No crafting time lately between work and getting ready for school. I go back to school wednesday. I am so ready to because well...I love school *big goofy grin*.

Oh my, my lovely ladies and gents how I have missed you! I can not stress enough how crazy life has been lately! Christmas and New years and soon valentines day and college starting back. It is just a huge blur and I feel as if it will stay that way for a while. I feel so bad to have abandoned everyone and my tutorials are dead, but soon I hope to resurrect everything and get life back on track.
Today my Etsy will be updated and I invite you to check it out. It will be great and I have so many goodies to unveil to ya'll. In case you don't know my store name it is Shortdrawbryant designs, just like the blog! Easy, eh?
I ask for prayers for my godmother Kari, and my dear friend Hailey who were in a car wreck on Monday and are still recovering. They are going to a different doctor today for their attorney. They are having to sue the person who hit them for medical bills and I pray that everything gets corrected. They have a great lawyer, Cory B, Trotz, so I have faith that everything will turn out alright.
Ok! About the crafting! Starting Monday I am going to try a picture a day to try and keep this updated and keep this blog update. SO STAY ON MY BACK! I mean it, I need someone telling me to keep going. LOL.
Well, off to find some batteries so I can finish taking pictures of my Etsy stuff.

First Day of December!

I love that it is the first day of December! I love this time of year. There are lots of birthdays to attend and of course, Christmas! And who doesn't love Christmas? I know I love it. Here, in our house, we just put up our tree yesterday. I am still adding ornaments to it though as I am making a lot of them. I am keeping it simple this year.

Hi crafters! This is Nichole reporting from BAC 45 at Union University! I am currently in computer class and it's not much fun.
I am going to spend this weekend sewing and making a baby girl card. A dear friend of mine just had a granddaughter born today. How exciting is that?!? I will take pictures of the card I make and post, after all it isn't everyday I get to make a baby card. I just LOVE babies! *could be why I'm in college for early childhood teaching...*
Recently, my great love for sewing has reawakened, so don't be too surprised to see my sewing wonders on here. Currently I am working on a camo dress for this Spring. Then on to work on about 20 pajama pants! I am making PJ pants for everyone for Christmas! Luckily PJ'd aren't hard to make or very time consuming!!! LOL.

Hi girls! (AND Guys!)
I have been up to sooo much n the last 2 weeks. It has been hectic! As most of you know, I start college September 4th,so I don't have much longer to wait! I have been training a girl at work how to do my job, so she will be taking my place for the most part. I am sad to let it go and switch to part-time, but it also means a new stage in my life.

I crafted a ton last weekend. Well, not a ton, but I made a whole 6x6 brag book album from start to finish. I was proud of that. Unfortunately, I won't be posting pictures as I sent it off today as a gift!

No videos on the site yet? You may ask me. The flip is (I want to say a bad word here), lets say messed up. Yes, it wont be fixed. I dropped it and it split up the side. The buttons are still sticking from the sunscreen. this poor flip did not live a very long life. And that maks me sad as I wanted one for sooooo long and it lasted not long at all. I am going to save for a new one , maybe one of the new flip Minos.

So who is as excited about the new Stampin Up! catalog as I am? I am super excited and just can't get enough looking time! I am part of a SU monthly club on the Cricut Messageboards, and I can't wait to place my first order. I am so indecisive. I am thinking of getting the new In Color inkpads since I don't have many pads to begin with. I am loving the real red and piourette (SP?) pink.

So, onto more news from my craft room. I have all but one box and one tote unpacked. That's it. I am going to tackle those tonight as soon as I get off work. I don't have a chair for my craft table yet, so I am going to steal one from the dining room table. LOL But I am going to craft! Going to work on a card video, so look for one on my site soon..that is if my flip buttons don't freeze. Then again, I am going to see what features our video DVD recorder has, so I can see if I can record on that and transfer them onto my laptop. I will only see about doing that though if I can transfer directly as I don't want to use up the DVD's. They are expensive!

we have been in the house for a week and I finally started on unpacking my craft stuff. I have so much, but so little! I started unmounting my rubberstamps yesterday and started putting them on ez mount foam. That stuff is soooo cool but a pain in the butt to mount!

Hello crafters!
Tomorrow is the big day! We will be homeowners at 2PM tomorrow. I am oh so very excited, but nervous also.
Anyways, I have a favor to ask everyone. I will get my own craft room once we move, but I have no idea how we are going to set it up. Sooooooo, here's where ya'll come in. I want to see YOUR room and want some tips on organization and other stuff. Just give me all ya got! LOL.

Hi friends! We finally got word that the house we're buying is actually closing EARLY. HOW EXCITING? Billy and I are first-time homebuyers, so we're totally taking a big step! House closes on July 30th at 2PM.
The sad news is i have to pack my precious stamping and scrapping supplies. I am so sad..they are my pretties!

Well, I will upload a pic later of a card I made it will be the last one I make for at least 1 week. Hopefully we move into the house next weekend!

Happy Birthday Card

Hey everyone! This is a card I quickly made last night for my sister. I used 2 different bazzill colors (I really can't tell you their names, because I don't know) ,a piece of scrap ribbon, which i laced into some holes made by the Leave it to weaver punch, and both stamps were just some $1 ones sent to me by some of my good friends. That's about it! I just had a little bit of time to work on this, plus I have been in a bit of a funk lately on my crafting.
Then, this brings it to my Flip. The power button is froze on it. I can't turn it on! So, once again, my dear Billy is taking it apart to try and fix it. Poopoo on me. :( *sniffle*
Hopeully, I get it fixed soon. I am so ready to post some crafty videos. And I know so many people have given up on me now..heck they prolly think im lying! I hope i do et it fixed soon. I had only videod on it 2 or 3 times before "the incident" happened. Ok, ok I have rambled enough. Have a good day and LOVES TILL LATERS!

Yup! All I can say is UGH! absolutely no time to craft lately, and when I do film a tutorial, someone site on the sunscreen and ruins my FLIP! It is finally working again, but it will still be some time before it is right again. Hopefully I can attempt another tutorial, and hopefully my fiance wont sit on the sunscreen again! Til' then, here is a little inspiration to tide you over. I made this card using a DCWV mat stack and the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge. (LOVE my bug!)

Ok, so I was asked if I had quit posting on my blog..the answer is no, I am just lazy! LOL.

Actually, I have been quite busy getting ready for a craft faire next month, and such. I need ideas for this craft faire. so far I am doing altered notebooks, wordbooks, cards, stationary sets, notecard sets, and maybe even possibly some candles. But, to me that just isn't enough!!!!

Also, I am thinking of starting to post some video and written craft tutorials. I would like some feedback on this and if I get enough I will start to do some. :)

Today is one of those dreary days that you want peace and quiet under the covers. I'd do anything at this point to be at home with no animals curled up with no care in the world..but we all know that's not life.

I think I can finally get up the nerve to make a gateway fold card. So beautiful, but I never could figure out the measurements! Good morning everyone just saying HI! I must say I am a bit nervous about putting myself out there on Etsy but I think I am going to try for a DT positiong on Bitten By the Bug. Regina Easter is such a sweet person and I'm thinking of doing it! I just can't think of WHAT to do. It just has to be two projects..hmmmmm.......
Also, check back sometime this week for some bags. I am going to work on some bags for my Etsy store to see how that goes!
